I often hop onto (ok fine, I get sucked into….. ok fine, fine I voluntarily spend waaaayyyy too much time on) Pinterest to get outfit inspiration when I'm feeling a little like "I have nothing to wear" staring at my closet. It's perfect for helping me visualize different ways to wear things I already own OR for figuring out what piece I "need" to add to my wardrobe to revamp + compliment pieces I already have in my closet. Today for example, I stumbled across this photo and lo and behold I could whip it together from my closet with the white button up I just purchased from the men's section at H&M, all the other items I already own!
I am definitely channelling Jill lately, laying out my outfits to see how they look together before putting them on. It's saving me from changing one thousand times 5 minutes before I need to leave the house making for a happier husband. I seriously can't figure out why I haven't doing this all along! (Oh, and it makes for a great blog photo too :) - two birds, one stone anyone?!)
My only beef about Pinterest is that sometimes I want to just click on the photo and have it take me to a site where I can make an impulse purchase. One of our goal's with Oil & Grain is to ensure we let you know where you can shop the looks we post. If you haven't checked out our SHOP page, 1. shame on you 2. just kidding and 3. we update this bad boy with links to shop styles we are coveting or pieces we have or have just added to our wardrobes (like the pieces in this post!). Check it often, we promise you won't regret it ;)
